Double-Dealing Behavior of the U.S. Denounced

The Website of the DPRK Foreign Ministry recently in an article denounced the U.S. for its double-dealing behavior towards the human rights and counter-terrorism.

The article says:

The recent anti-government protest and the terrorist attack on mosque in Iran have once again accentuated the double-dealing behavior of the U.S. towards the human rights and counter-terrorism.

As reported earlier, in mid-September, Iran has witnessed an anti-government protest in the wake of the death of an Iranian woman who had been intercepted by the police on a charge of dressing against the Islamic custom. Taking this opportunity, the U.S. officials including the National Security Adviser of the White House have successively held press conferences and encouraged the anti-government protest in Iran, saying that “the U.S. stands on the side of Iranian people.” To cap it all, Biden also did not hesitate to interfere overtly in internal affairs of Iran, saying that “the U.S. would always be with ‘valiant’ citizens of Iran.”

But the U.S. shunned and kept silent when scores of innocent citizens were killed and injured by the barbarous terrorist attack on Mosque in Shiraz, a local city of Iran in late October, even though the UN General Secretary and numerous countries of the world including Russia, China and Syria stated their official position to condemn the terrorist attack in the strongest terms.

Such doubling-dealing behavior of the U.S. triggered an immediate backlash from Iran.

Iranian President, Supreme Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and other high-ranking figures of Iranian government and military denounced the recent incidents in Iran. They said the U.S. is a direct party to all these incidents and pledged themselves to exact revenge on the U.S., the root cause of evil, in blood. They emphatically condemned the U.S. for keeping silent to the atrocity of killing the civilians at Mosque, calling it a mockery of the global peace and an insult to humankind.

Recent anti-government protest and the terrorist attack on Mosque in Iran show this. The U.S. criteria for determining human rights and counter-terrorism depend whether the country stands against the U.S. or in its favor.

The blame lies with the government if the anti-government protest broke out in Iran and other anti-U.S. independent countries, regardless of the truth and reason. And the terrorist acts in these countries cannot be regarded as crimes. This is just the U.S. criterion.

Impartial international media are now commenting that the human rights and counter-terrorism chanted by the U.S. are nothing more than its tools for taming those countries disobedient to it and that what lies at the bottom of the successive instable developments in Iran is the U.S. attempt to disintegrate Iran from within by inciting the anti-government spirit at home and aggravating the social disturbance.

The U.S. moves to isolate and stifle Iran under all possible pretexts of human rights, democracy, terrorism, etc. would never check the advance of anti-U.S. and independent Iranian people.
