-Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp Tells a Story of Love

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is determined to open a broad avenue to building a socialist power and bring earlier a new victory by relying on the might of science and technology. The ray of his politics of attaching importance to science is also beaming through Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp.

On October 21, 2014, he was so much pleased to have received the report about the completion of the Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp, and took on a boat to have come to the holiday camp nearing its completion.

He warmly told the officials, who were there to meet him, that he took its helm to push forward the construction starting from the design to building operations, bound and determined to build a holiday camp on the side of the picturesque Lake Yonphung so as to realize the ideals of the great leaders.

On this day, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un looked round the general service centre, buildings, resting place, promenade, multi-purpose outdoor sporting ground and other areas of the holiday camp. He was so pleased to have been able to provide such a place for the scientists that he expressed his satisfaction over and over again.

While taking a look around the buildings of the holiday camp, he noticed that there was no TV and fridge in the hall which was designed for the recreationists to play Janggi (Korean chess) and yut-game. He then took a step to install a large-screen TV and double-door refrigerator in the shape of furniture so that the recreationists can watch TV and have snacks while playing games.

He was solicitous about the accommodation of the recreationists down to the minutest detail. He said a curtain should be hanged down the window frame when he had noticed that it remains bare-curtained. When he saw a wall clock hanging on the wall on the bed side, he saw to it that it be hanged on the wall facing the bed, saying that it would be inconvenient for the recreationists in bed to turn their heads to see the time.

He also said the last thing he wants to hear is that the recreationists were not fed well at a scenic holiday camp. He personally took a necessary step to enhance the pleasure of the table for the recreationists, saying that one’s recreation life will be remembered only when a good rest attends good eating.

Under the meticulous and warm love of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, a grand completion ceremony was held at the Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp.

It started its first recreation service from November 16, 2014.

When we look around the world, every country has a number of scientists. But there is no one like our scientists who enjoy their vacation to the full at the top-class palatial holiday camp under the blessing of the peerless great man.

A few years ago, a foreign media reported as follows:

Scientific research centres, dwellings for scientists and bases of cultural and leisure activities, including the Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp by the picturesque lakeside, were erected at a very good location across the country.

All these give a good glimpse of the depth of investment by  supreme leader Kim Jong Un for the scientific and technical sectors and scientists.

The Western values can never dream of these things.

As has been seen, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is determined to bring a new world by science. As his politics of attaching importance to science is shining bright, our country will advance by leaps and bounds towards the world with scientific technology as a driving force.

-Product of Self-reliance

We now find a tube train which is running along its track in Pyongyang. It is a product of self-reliance displayed by our working class on its own efforts and technology.

People still do not know a touching story about how this tube train came to show its stylish appearance on its track in Pyongyang.

On July 19, 2015, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex and set forth an honorable task to this complex to develop and make a tube train of our style by September, which has only recorded a proud history and tradition following the track of self-reliance.

To develop and produce the tube train of our style within three months, it was a demanding task, going beyond common sense.

Let’s look at the number of tube accessories alone. It was staggering. Hundreds of thousands components in thousands of different kinds were needed to manufacture it. For this reason, it took 4 or 5 years even for the developed countries to develop and manufacture a tube train.

When they got to its development, they fall short of data on the production of many components, to say nothing of the blueprint. Opinions were raised, at the beginning of development, to import some components as they require high precision and purity.

Other countries say the tube trains are of their own make. But they bought from others the control program – the brain of the tube train, to speak nothing of electromotor – the heart of it - and the transducer – one of important technical elements, and assembled the train.

However, our working class buckled down to the development of the tube train requiring the ultra-modern technology without the slightest hesitation in the spirit of self-reliance to put into reality the General Secretary’s will with “do-or-die” spirit. In the course of it, they gave full play to the spirit and merit of the Korean working class and created a miracle of developing and making a tube train in a short period of time relying on their own efforts and technology.

On October 22, 2015, the respected General Secretary, while taking a look around the tube train made by our working class, said that he is so pleased to see it today as if he has seen two atomic bombs made. Then he said warmly that it was no modern weaponry that helped us to defeat the U.S. in the Fatherland Liberation War, but our will to treasure and defend what is ours.

Like this, the respected General Secretary always believes in people and advances revolution and construction by relying on them. As long as we have him with us, as long as there’s the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, which carries out the Party’s idea and intention with their hearts, our people will proudly build socialism on their own efforts, no matter how hard the hostile forces attempt to check our advance.

-Happy Home for Female Workers

There is a dormitory for female workers at Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill which is left with the footprints of the peerless great men. The working class here call this dormitory the “workers’ hotel” and “workers’ palace”.

9 year ago, one day in October 2013, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited this mill. Before hearing the explanation for the newly-built process, he first acquainted himself with their living conditions, including houses and dormitory.

He then earnestly said as follows:

President Kim Il Sung even tasted the soup our workers eat when he was at the mill’s dormitory. And Chairman Kim Jong Il said in earnest to build a nice dormitory for workers. I will assume responsibility for the construction of an excellent dormitory. Nothing can deter us from improving the livelihood of the workers of the mill.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un personally selected the site for the dormitory and dispatched powerful construction forces of the Korean People’s Army. He also fully solved the issues arising in the construction.

Resected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who gave several rounds of precious teachings in regard to the construction of dormitory, took great care over this project; he said that the dormitory should be built in a low-story and in blocks for the convenience of the workers who work in shifts; its walls should be decorated with light and smooth colors according to women’s taste and the kitchen and dining room should be equipped with up-to-date equipment.

When respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the dormitory that was built as befits the appearance of the civilized socialist country within just 180-odd days, he was so pleased to see bedrooms, dining hall, bath-house, beauty salon, shop, clinic, library and all other wonderful facilities that can fully suit convenience of the female workers in the dormitory.

And looking around the park where the workers in the dormitory can have a rest and play games or sports to their hearts’ content, he said that it is just like a paradise and he saw to it that a grand banquet for workers was held there in celebration of May Day.

The dormitory of Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill is the palace of love, home of happiness dear to the workers which was built under the warm care of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who hands down the love of great leaders for generations.

There are many palaces and hotels in the world in which only a handful of rich people enjoy luxury, bleeding the working people white. But there is only one country in the world that has a building called workers’ hotel and workers’ palace, erected under the meticulous care of the great man. It is none other than the DPRK where the working people enjoy worthwhile life as the masters of the country.
