China will likely strengthen military capabilities due to conflict with U.S. over Taiwan: Expert
An expert on international relations has said that China will focus on its confrontation with the U.S. on the Taiwan issue.
Jalal Sadatian said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that “undoubtedly, the Chinese will focus more on the development and modernization of their Navy and Air Force and the reason for this is china’s confrontations with the U.S. over Taiwan.”
The issue that they will focus on for the next five years is the strengthening of military infrastructures, he said, adding that the Chinese will focus more on the development and modernization of their Navy and Air Force and the reason for this is china’s confrontations with the U.S. over Taiwan.
He said Beijing believes that the job is done in Hong Kong and China has brought this region under control but now the conflict with the Americans over Taiwan has become a serious issue.
“That is why I think if Xi Jinping will not face a lot of challenges internally over the next five years, he will encounter numerous crises externally,” he added.
He noted that the Chinese president needs a united team to overcome these crises.
