Tel Aviv wary of deepening of Syria-Hamas relations: Expert

An expert on the West Asia region has said that the deepening of relations between Hamas and Syria caused a sense of concerns in Tel Aviv.
“Syria has supported the liberation of Palestine for more than five decades and the relations between Palestinian resistance factions and Damascus are considered a public threat to Israel,” the expert, Reza Sadrolhoseini , told ILNA.
He was commenting on the recent thaw in relations between Hamas and the Syrian government.
He said that the meetings between officials of two sides were a political turning point.
Sadrolhoseini also pointed to the reasons for the west’s anger at this thaw, saying that this anger is because Israel now senses the threat closely.
