Biden failed to achieve his goals in Saudi visit: Expert
The former Iranian ambassador to Kuwait has said that Joe Biden didn’t reach any of his goals during his visit to the region.
Commenting on the recent U.S. president's trip to Saudi Arabia, Reza Mirabiean told ILNA that despite the fanfare that accompanied Joe Biden’s trip to the occupied territories and Saudi Arabia and the statements that were published, it seems that the Americans didn’t reach their goals.
He referred to one of Biden’s aims for visiting Saudi Arabia that is to convince Riyadh to pump more oil and said that the Saudis have clearly announced that “we aren’t able to increase oil production and exports and the amount of Saudi Arabia’s oil exports is dependent on the OPEC and OPEC+ decisions.”
Practically, the Americans didn’t reach their expected result in the oil issue, he added.
Pointing to the issue of getting Arab countries on board with Washington to confront Iran, the expert also emphasized that the Americans weren’t successful to reach this goal too.
So, I assess that despite the propaganda that has been created, the U.S didn’t reach any of its goals during this trip, he said.
