US achieved its two main goals vis a vis Russia: Professor
A professor at the Friendship University of Russia believes that the U.S. has achieved its main goals vis a vis Russia by imposing maximum packages of sanctions and punishments against Russia over Ukraine.
Ahmad Vakhshiteh told ILNA that “now we are witnessing a much more difficult atmosphere than the Cold War and the European security order has faced serious changes.”
He said that it seems that the U.S. sought two main goals in Ukraine, the first was to isolate Russia internationally and the second was to create a serious gap between Russia and the EU, especially France and Germany. And these two goals have been achieved, according to the professor.
He emphasized that the U.S. and Britain have considered maximum packages of sanctions and punishments against Russia since the beginning of the war and they did it, which helped the U.S. achieve its goals in Ukraine.
