Biden setting a political trap for China in Taiwan: Expert
An expert on the U.S. has said that Washington is trying to prompt China to launch a military attack against Taiwan just as it has engaged Russia in Ukraine.
China sees well how unity between Europe and the U.S. is working against Russia and it is witnessing the whole Ukraine case, especially its economic consequence, Ali Bigdeli told ILNA.
“Biden’s threatening China with Taiwan should be considered a public warning that can turn into a political trap for China,” he said.
Biden's announcement of military support of Taiwan against China has also reduced his popularity inside the U.S., he added.
“These stances can turn into tools for conservatives to criticize Biden. And that could be used by them in the upcoming elections,” he noted.
