Lebanon elections revealed political alignments against resistance: Professor
A professor at the University of Beirut has said that the Lebanese parliamentary elections have revealed the nature of political alignments against the resistance.
Yousef Jaber said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that “The existing economic problems in Lebanon destroyed the citizens of this country's confidence in the leaders of Lebanon and through connecting economic failures to widespread corruptions; they blame the economic consequences on the resistance.”
“They twisted the truth and didn't say that the current dire economic situation is the result of U.S. decisions and the implementation of these decisions through their puppets inside the ruling elites of Lebanon," he said.
He also accused the economic forces dominated by the West of playing a role in Lebanon's economic meltdown.
