Removing Attorneyship Examination is a motivated act; Tavana tells ILNA
Member of Iranian Bar Association called removing Attorneyship examination, an ignorant move.
"Ali Najafi Tavana", Member of Iranian Bar Association, regarding appeals for canceling Iran’s attorneyship examination called the act motivated from specific groups and people and told that proposing the issue shows the ignorance of those who put it forward.
The member of Bar Association board pointing to the government’s task in providing employment told: "Is there any other way for certifying the lawyers, except to hold qualification examinations? The fact is also true for other scientific branches like medicine and engineering. Unfortunately, after the revolution, we turned unemployed diploma holders to unemployed university graduates. We were looking for ways to prevent attorney’s unemployment. Besides, for becoming a lawyer you need to gain the science and knowledge of law. Thus not getting accepted in attorneyship certification examination is an indication of the lack of knowledge."
According to Najafi Tavana, those who graduate from law majors can enter the workforce. He added: "During these recent years, the Judiciary system didn’t hold examinations. The center also should use such potentials to further address the graduate unemployment issue."
