Parliament Speaker emphasizes strategic ties between Iran, China

The Speaker of Iran's Parliament Ali Larijani, in response to the message of  Li Zhanshu, the Speaker of the Chinese Parliament, which was issued to express sympathy with him after his illness and with the Iranian people during the coronavirus outbreak, stressed on strategic and friendly relations between the two countries.

Larijani in his message said our common belief is that the development and expansion of friendly cooperation between the two countries in various fields is one of the strategic principles of the foreign policy of both states and the Iranian parliament supports any action to strengthen these strategic friendly relations.

”I would like to express my gratitude for the medical and humanitarian assistance provided by the People's Republic of China in the fight against the COVID-19 and to prevent its spread in my country. Undoubtedly, this support has played a very important role in helping to control the disease,” Larijani added.
