Representatives of Iranian parties oppose 2030 document at Asian Party Summit
“Just as the Iranian government has repeatedly rejected the position of the 2030 document because of its fundamental deficiencies, we did not endorse this position on behalf of the youth and legal entities of the Islamic Republic of Iran” he said.
Amir Fouad Mohseni, representing youth and organizations at the Asian Parties Summit in Baku, announced the inclusion of the 2030 document in the final resolution of the summit, saying that Iranian organizations present at the summit objected to the content of the 2030 document.
“Just as the Iranian government has repeatedly rejected the position of the 2030 document because of its fundamental deficiencies, we did not endorse this position on behalf of the youth and legal entities of the Islamic Republic of Iran” he said.
Mohseni added that the parties in Iran operate within the framework of the constitution and will not, naturally, accept any opposition to the law at any meeting.
