John Bowden, staff writer of The Hill, a top US political website worried about growing tensions in the Middle East and the Gulf of Oman and said, "After the attack on oil tankers in the Gulf, we are not witnessing good events in this area. These tensions will make way for diplomacy and bring stability to the region."

He said to ILNA news agency that "these allegations against Iran do not seem to me to be useful except to make Iran angry and see other events in the Persian Gulf and things that are not in the interest of anyone if they are to continue.

"The events took place when the Japanese prime minister visited Iran. If we want to negotiate Iran, the attacks will make the situation even more dangerous. I do not know the connection between two events, but I know this, if the Abe trip to Iran had an achievement, these attacks destroyed the possible achievements of Abe's visit to Iran

He added that on the other hand, Trump administration causes crisis in the relations between Washington and Tehran. He lacks a coherent strategy on Iran, and this makes his decisions increase chaos in the region.

"We do not have any detailed information on the threat posed by the White House officials, but what we know is that America has entered the Persian Gulf and these attacks are taking place in the Persian Gulf, so if Iran takes action, it is not illegal action," Bowden added.
