Political analyst believes that by leaving the Iran's deal, the United States left an agreement that was universally considered to be useful to the security of the world.

John Royle, a reporter and political analyst and expert at Reuters has interview with ILNA news agency about reason of raising standoff between Iran and U.S. He said that the United States withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, known as the "Iran Deal" also created a disagreement between the United States and its other European allies.

Below is his full interview with ILNA news agency:

Q: What is your opinion about the suggestion of negotiation by trump?

Mike Pompeo, the US secretary of state recently announced that its government is ready to negotiate without any preconditions with Iran, but Iran should behave like a normal country. This retreat has been until recently the White House officials have emphasized Iran's strictest positions and considered 12 clauses to negotiate with Iran. But Iran president believed we would not accept any conditions for negotiating with Trump and the US government. The same threat has made White House leaders retreat a little from their positions

Q: What is the reason for the tension between Iran and the United States?

The rise of tensions has led to a withdrawal from the nuclear deal. By leaving the agreement, the United States left an agreement that was universally considered to be useful to the security of the world. This departure not only increased the tension between Iran and the United States, but also created a disagreement between the United States and its other European allies. Europe is now struggling to maintain this agreement, because the world sees the agreement as a better place.

In my opinion, negotiations must be held with respect. But what we are facing now is who to start the negotiation first and go to the negotiating table. I see both parties' willingness to negotiate in the positions of both sides, but they must move forward on one side and negotiate with the interests of the other side.

Q: What is your analysis of using mediators to resolve the dispute between Iran and the United States?

Changing Trump's position and canceling of the preconditions and using of mediators to satisfy Tehran's top official shows that the US leaders are not seeking military engagement with Iran. Now, Trump has retreated from his terms, which shows that there is a lot of willingness to negotiate and resolve the dispute with Iran in this way. Even Trump recently stated that he is not seeking a change of sovereignty in Iran.
