Iran president due in Turkey to attend OIC summit
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to pay an official visit to Turkey on Tuesday to attend the emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Vice-President for Communications and Information Affairs Parviz Ismaili said in a message released on his twitter account that President Rouhani is scheduled to leave Tehran for Istanbul on Tuesday evening to participate in the OIC summit.
The official said that President Rouhani will give a lecture at the OIC emergency meeting.
Tureky as a rotating president of the OIC has called for a meeting of the OIC on Wednesday to confer on a recent decision by US President Donald Trump to transfer its embassy from Tel-Aviv to Quds.
