Tehran-Moscow political cooperation is close and excellent
Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan Jagarian described Tehran-Moscow military and political cooperation as close and excellent, saying that Iran, and Russia are standing by each other in Syria.
Jagarian made the remarks in a meeting with Governor General of the wesstern Province of Kermanshah Asadollah Razani during a visit to the province.
The Russian envoy is in Kermanshah to discuss promotion of economic relations between Russia and Kermanshah.
He said that during his meeting Razani, the two discussed bilateral economic ties including export of wheat from Russia to Iran for a temporary period and then re-export it to third countries after changing the wheat into flour.
The Russian minister also said that he discussed sisterhood of Kermanshah and a number of cities in Russia with the Iranian officials.
Tehran and Mazandaran provinces are volunteers to establish ties with Russia and proper measures have been taken, Jagarian said.
Kermanshah governor general, for his part, evaluated the level Iran-Russia ties as satisfactory, saying that Kermanshah economic exchanges with Russia have the potential to increase.
Noting that Iran and Russian have long-standing foreign relations, Razani said that the two countries are standing by each other in various issues and boast of strategic unity.
He also called for promoting economic, cultural and tourism relations with Russia.
Jagarian arrived in Kermanshah on Saturday evening at the head of an economic delegation to help promote economic relations with the province and he is also slated to meet private sector activists of the province tomorrow.
