Judiciary fights election flaws; Amoli Larijani

Iran's Judiciary Chief, says the most important goal is to hold safe and healthy election.

"Sadegh Amoli Larijani", Iranian Judiciary Chief said that during the election time, if there’s going to be any specific issue, we will address the matter in consultation with the country’s general attorney.

"What’s significant is focusing on the election and other issues shouldn’t deflect our attention from the subject" he added.

In meeting with provinces’ heads of justice departments, provinces capitals’ attorney generals and top judiciary officials, Amoli Larijani said: "General judiciary officials’ meetings were partially delayed despite the urgent need for such meetins. There should be more cooperation between the related organs. Nevertheless the obstacles are numerous."

Pointing to the country’s election space, he called the event significant and vital for the future of the nation.

"The election is going to hand over the country’s executive work for 4 years, to a single person and the election is among the most pivotal pillars of our religious democracy and is supporting the foundation of Islamic Republic. As such its significance is not unclear."

He continued: "What’s vital is to hold healthy election and the nation participate maximally in the event. The judiciary’s task in this regard is to cooperate and take responsibilities in keeping the election safe and secure. A duty which legislative bodies put in front of us."

Amoli Larijani, regarding preventing election flaws told that a committee was formed with the general attorney’s chairmanship to further address the issues.

"The enemy might intend to hurt the election and the state as a whole. Everyone should be aware and stay conscious, not to let a space to be opened in such an atmosphere" he emphasized.

Top judicial official also underscoring Supreme Leader’s emphasis on resistance economy told that living condition and people’s employment should be prioritized in the state.

"We can’t let the enemy pressure us from such a point" he added.

At the end, Amoli Larijani, referring to the issue of smuggling, told: "Fighting goods and foreign exchanges smuggling, is an issue which engaged so many organs. The Judiciary should stay at the top of the organs fighting such a phenomena."
