Iran president emphasis on improving relations with neighboring

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday that improvement of relations with the neighboring countries, particularly Russia, Azerbaijan Republic and the Caspian Sea littoral states, is top priority of his government.

President Rouhani made the remarks in the ceremony, held for opening of 43 development and infrastructural projects in the northern province of Mazandaran.

The Iran-Russia trade relations experienced 80 percent growth during the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20, 2017), the President added.

He said that construction of new infrastructures in the Amirabad port in northern Iran can help promotion of Tehran-Moscow trade exchanges.

The President lauded development of relations with Azerbaijan Republic, adding that the two states’ trade relations will grow in the coming years.

Establishment of joint Free Trade Zones with the Eurasian states has developed Iran’s ties with the countries, he added.

The President said that inking new agreements in field of export will develop Iran ties with the Eurasian countries.

He hailed the government efforts for promotion of investment in the country, adding that people are getting more share in the entrepreneurship and production projects.

Rouhani inaugurated 43 development and infrastructural projects during his one day visit to the Northern province of Mazandaran.

More than 18,650 billion rials has been designated for implementation of the projects.

The Amirabad Paper Company Complex was one of the projects that were officially inaugurated during the president's visit to Mazandaran Province.
