Worker's pleas should be addressed; Habibi
Iranian Worker official wished for a year of positive move for Iranians.
“Hossein Habibi”, Iran’s Islamic Work Council Supreme Coordination Assembly Inspector warning that the workers’ real pleas haven’t been fully addressed yet, wished that their movement in the year ahead would be a positive and engaging one.
Describing such appeals from the worker society, he stated that worker act amendments should be reclaimed from the Parliament and every future amendments should aim at developing evermore support for the work force.
“Such legislature should be recovered before presidential elections” he emphasized.
Habbibi continued that the development of free trade and industrial zones should be halted as he called the idea a trait to worker’s society in not providing umbrella support of the constitutions for them.
The worker’s activist also termed independence of social security organization as another demand of the workers and noted that besides protecting workers' independence, there should be efforts in preventing their integration into Health insurances.
According to Habibi, there’s an urgent need in organizing work contracts and provision of decent work conditions.
“I hope that the coming year would be a year of workers' unity and solidarity and may they achieve the right to have a free, independent worker union” he stressed.
