Iran's Information and Communications Technology Minister, talks about IRIB and attacks to the cabinet.

“Mahmoud Vaezi”, Iran’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology regarding Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) told ILNA that still there are those who don’t see running the organization like a university and don’t treat it fairly.

“The limited group which has strong clout, wants to exclusively run the IRIB as a political party which is a grave mistake” he emphasized.

In an interview with ILNA, the top communication official responding to queries regarding attacks to “Hassan Rouhani”, Iran’s president and his cabinet told that the Supreme Leader has always had advises to avoid early campaigning for election and we should only have campaigns in designated period of time.

“Unfortunately we’re witnessing attacks to the incoming government from a specific group. In some cases, IRIB is also further provokativly instigating the row” he stressed.

“The government has always welcomed the critics but such attacks are insulting and destructive” he added.

“People surely know the difference between criticism and slander and are aware of the fact that critics are constructive while insulting attacks and slanders would have inverse consequences” the official stated.

Regarding the fact that “Abdulal Ali-Asgari”, director-general of IRIB, is present at the cabinet sessionsو he told that we believe that he himself has positive and constructive executive approaches but unfortunately there’re groups who don’t hold his views and standpoints.
