Private sector urged to invest in nuclear industry
Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi beliesves it is importatnt that private sector in Iran enter nuclear industry.
After doing research, achieving technology, and paying political price, it is time for letting the the private sector invest in nuclear industry, Kamalvandi said while addressing a national conference on the Economy of Resistance on Tuesday.
“The private sector should be allowed to enter all nuclear areas even the fuel cycle except enrichment,” the nuclear official stressed.
Turning to the July 2015 nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Kamalvandi said that although the agreement did not ease pressures completely, it reduced the restrictions and impediments to a minimum.
“In today's world, if we want to make changes and reforms, we will be surely put under pressure, economic pressure in particular. So, our economy should be resistant,” he noted.
