The execution of Zanjani is not dependent on taking his assets back; judicial system spokesman
Judiciary Spokesman stressed that Babak Zanjani's sentence is not dependent on taking back of his assets.
Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, on the sidelines of the “Role and Effect of center of the legal advisors and lawyers of judicial system" summit, regarding “Babak Zanjani” ‘s sentence told that the execution of the verdict is going to take time.
“We are in the process of identifying and assessing the assets of this guy, however his execution is not dependent on this” he added.
He also emphasized that if his lawyers have any objection about the process, their complaint would be reviewed.
Judicial system primeier deputy noting the arrest of one of the major culprits of oil case said: ”Due to the recent arrest of a person in connection to the oil selling case, a meeting between the two might become necessary. Also the two others, whose verdicts have been reversed, might get used in the investigation processes.
About the likelihood of any changes in zanjani’s case, Ejei said that if any person who has committed a crime, would try to compensate afterwards and repent, the wisdom and the law and the sharia, would consider mitigating and reducing the verdict. If this person also have cooperated with judicial officials from the beginning, indeed his verdict would have been different.
Meanwhile, he also added that mitigations regarding the verdict does not necessarily means changes in his execution sentence, but it might avoid solitary confinement or the opportunity of using leaves during the time that he is in arrest.
