Iran calls for adopting reciprocal measures against US sanctions

He made the remarks in reaction to the US Congress measures for extension of Iran's sanctions for another decade.

'We are sure that The US officials' measure for extension of Iran's sanctions has no justification internationally,' Larijani added.

The parliament speaker urged government to execute articles number 3 and 7 of “The Proportional and Reciprocal Plan of Action for the Implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)' immediately and report the results to parliament.

The article 3 of the resolution states that if one of the sides uses sanctions or adopts alternative embargoes, the government should adopt reciprocal measures, he noted.

The speaker added that according to the Majlis resolution, the government should adopt reciprocal measures against extension of Iran's sanctions by the US Congress.
