Nuclear industry, strategic symbol between Iran, Russia
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi has described the nuclear industry as 'a strategic symbol' between Iran and Russia.
Salehi made the description here Saturday during a joint press briefing with his Russian counterpart.
On the sidelines of the start of building 2nd and 3rd phases of the Bushehr Nuclear Plant in south of Iran, Salehi said Tehran and Moscow are witnessing growing relations.
As the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has said, an independent Iran and a powerful Russia can come together to do great work, Salehi noted.
Also, the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has repeatedly stressed importance of improving international interactions with the world nations, Russia as the first priority, Salehi said.
Tehran and Moscow have witnessed 70 percent increase in their trade exchange, said Salehi, hoping the relations, which are strategic between the two, would strengthen.
