British PM: UK committed to nuclear deal, boosting banking ties
A spokesperson of British prime minister’s office said that Premier Theresa May has underlined her country’s commitment to the implementation of nuclear agreement reached between Tehran and the six world powers in Vienna in July 2015.
The British official said that the UK prime minister has vowed commitment in her telephone conversation with President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday.
“During the phone call, the British prime minister and President Rouhani agreed that the two countries’ relations have been expanding since the nuclear agreement and it is necessary that this development of ties to continue in the future,” the UK diplomat added.
The spokesperson said that the two sides agreed that all sides of the nuclear talks should fulfill their commitments.
“The British prime minister reiterated that Britain will continue its support for fill implementation of Vienna agreement, including making efforts to boost banking cooperation between Iran and Britain,” the diplomat added.
Britain’s premier also called for enhancement of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
President Rouhani and Prime Minister May also agreed on the importance of holding talks on regional challenges and global fight against terrorism.
