Liberation of south of Lebanon, golden page in history: FM
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described Liberation Day in Lebanon as a golden page in the country's history and that of the region as well.
Zarif made the remarks in separate messages to Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah and Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil.
In his messages, Zarif congratulated the Lebanese nation, government, army and the Mujahed combatants on the Liberation Day which marks the day when southern parts of the country were freed from the occupation of the Zionist regime 16 years ago.
Zarif also appreciated the smart role the Hezbollah forces and the Lebanese officials as well as combatants played in the historic event which he described as a big victory for the nation.
The Iranian foreign minister went on to once again underline Tehran's support for Beirut. He then wished victory and success for the great Lebanese nation.
