Indian premier due in Iran next week
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Iran on May 22, said Iranian President's Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Information, Parviz Esmaeili.
He was officially invited by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Modi is accompanied by a high-ranking political, economic and cultural delegation during his two-day visit, he said, adding, Iran and India plan to sign a number of agreements during the visit which include cooperation in economic, investment, trade, transportation, developing ports, cultural, scientific and academic fields.
He plans to meet with Iranian officials including President Hassan Rouhani and discuss issues of mutual interests as well as key regional and international developments, Esmaeili said.
