Iran unveils S-300 air defense system
Iran unveiled S-300 air defense system in a ceremony on Sunday held to commemorate the 38th anniversary of establishment of Iranian Army.
Iran received the missile system after the UN sanctions on Iran were lifted.
The ceremony was held in Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of Islamic Revolution of Iran.
Iranian Armed Forces' Chief of Staff Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, Commander of Iran's Army Major General Ataollah Salehi, Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan, Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) Brigadier General Hassan Shah Safi, - Iran's Navy chief Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari and commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base, Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili joined the military parade.
A number of military attaches of foreign states are also taking part in the event.
