The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) have screened the surveillance footage of US warship entering Persian Gulf at the 24th meeting of the Supreme Assembly of the IRGC commanders and officials in Tehran.

The commander of the IRGC Navy, Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, stated that IRGC naval forces are monitoring American military movements in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to him, the surveillance footage showed that the US aircraft carrier attempted to fly its helicopter over the Persian Gulf, but was forced to abort this action after receiving warnings from the Control Center in the Strait of Hormuz.

He also emphasized that there is no need for trans-regional forces to ensure the security of the Persian Gulf, as Iran and neighboring countries are cooperating to guarantee the security of this strategic waterway.
