Iran to be in the spotlight if Republicans take over Congress: expert
An expert on the U.S. has said that Republicans aren’t sitting idly by and during the last months have always undermined Democrats’ policies and tried to ridicule Biden by supporting Trump.
Ferydon Majlesi told ILNA that “most probably, Democrats will lose the U.S. House of Representatives and Republicans will take the majority.”
There is a possibility that Democrats introduce a new person for the upcoming presidential elections, he said, adding that in the meantime, Republicans don’t sit idly by and during the last months have always undermined Democrats’ policies and tried to ridicule Biden by supporting Trump.
The Republicans have criticized Biden’s policies toward Ukraine and Iran many times during the last months and weeks, he noted.
He continued that many Democrats and their experts believe that there is no hope for the continuation of Biden’s presence in the White House after the 2024 elections.
He added that undoubtedly if the Republicans take control of Congress, issues like Ukraine, China, and especially Iran will be considered more than ever.
Millions of Americans will vote in the midterm elections on Tuesday, with the balance of power in Congress at stake.
