Nader Entesar told ILNA that due to the closeness of the congressional elections and the internal developments in Iran, it seems unlikely that the U.S. administration wants or will be able to return to the negotiating table.
Commenting on the prisoner swap between Iran and the U.S., the expert said that there is a possibility that the US will exchange prisoners with Iran outside of the framework of the JCPOA.
He noted that so far the U.S. has not announced such a decision publicly, and if it makes this decision, it will probably publish news about it after the upcoming congressional elections.
