Iran’s New Ambassador to IAEA Appointed
The Islamic Republic of Iran appointed a new ambassador to the Vienna Office of the United Nations and to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Mohsen Naziri Asl has been selected as the new permanent representative of Iran to the United Nations Office in Vienna, one of the four major office sites of the UN where numerous different UN agencies have a joint presence.
Naziri will also serve as Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian before leaving for his mission, Naziri outlined his working plan during his tenure in Vienna and was given a series of advices by the foreign minister.
With a PhD in international law, Naziri used to serve as Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva and has the experience of completing several missions at the international organizations.
