Russia’s Putin to visit Tehran next week
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin would make a visit to Iran next week, an Iranian lawmaker said.
Chief of Economic Commission of Iran’s Parliament Mohammadreza Pour-Ebrahimi told IRNA on Tuesday that the Russian President would visit Tehran next week to discuss planning for the expansion of economic ties between Iran and Russia.
After the recent trip by Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi to Russia, the MP said, a positive atmosphere has been created regarding Iran-Russia economic cooperation.
Pour-Ebrahimi added that good agreements were made during Raisi’s Russia trip, unlocking a new season in Iran-Russia exchanges and ensuring the Russian side that Tehran was serious in economic cooperation with Moscow.
The sanctions imposed by the United States and the EU against Russia have made the country feel the need for cooperation with Iran more than before, he noted.
