FM: Iran prioritizing developing ties with Italy
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian emphasized that the priority of Iran’s foreign policy in Europe is focused on working with Italy.
Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with his Italian businessmen in Rome.
Referring to the 160-year-old relationship between the two countries, he emphasized that the priority of Iran’s foreign policy in Europe is focused on working with Italy.
Considering the fact that the economies of the two countries are complementary, there are many areas for joint cooperation.
Pointing to the COVID19 crisis and the war in Ukraine, he took two important issues of food security and energy security into consideration, saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks to help solve the existing crises by activating the North-South and East-West transit route.
He emphasized the implementation of the agreements between the two countries and expressed hope for increasing these flights.
Referring to the process of nuclear negotiations in Vienna, he considered it as important to ensure that the Islamic Republic benefits from the JCPOA.
