Raisi underlines seizing opportunity to strengthen trade exchanges with regional countries
The President stated, "Large economic companies have been activated as the driving force of the country's economy, and people will witness the fruits and results of these actions in the near future".
Speaking at the cabinet session on Wednesday morning, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi emphasized the necessity of seizing the opportunities created to strengthen trade exchanges with the countries of the region, especially neighbors, and referred to his meetings on the sidelines of the Summit of the Caspian Sea Littoral States in Turkmenistan.
He said, "The Ministry Agricultural Jihad is one of the departments that can become more active in the field of exchanges of such products due to the context and capacity of production of agricultural products in neighboring countries".
Ayatollah Raisi also pointed out the opportunity to use the credit line as well as domestic and foreign funds to grow investment in the country, develop industry and implement joint projects with other countries, including the pursuit and implementation of the Rasht-Astara corridor and its continuation through the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He emphasized on speeding up the follow-up of the agreements made between Iran and other countries by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and related institutions.
Referring to the signing of the 7-billion-dollar memorandum of understanding for the development of the shared Azadegan Oil Field, Raisi called it as one of the important indicators of relying on domestic power and using the funds and liquidity available in the country and directing it to the path of production prosperity.
He said, "If liquidity in is used for the growth of production, its growth will not be a cause for concern. It is wandering liquidity that causes inflation and economic disturbances in the country".
The President added, "With the signing of this memorandum, which is an important step in the government's efforts to increase investment in the prosperity of production, large economic companies have become active as the driving force of the country's economy, and people will witness the fruits and results of these actions in the near future".
Ayatollah Raisi called the participation of banks in the implementation of such projects as the reason for the greater mobility and confidence of the private sector to invest in the country.
In another part of his speech, Raisi emphasised the need to prevent the sedimentation of goods in the country's customs and said, "Import of any type of goods to the country must be documented and subject to regulations and have the necessary legal documents".
"Before a product enters the customs and is delayed there for various reasons, all the legal aspects of its import must be dealt with at the origin in order to prevent it from being transferred to the customs and then stopped for various reasons," he said.
At the beginning of his speech, Ayatollah Raisi expressed condolences on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS) and pointed out the role of that noble person in the development of divine sciences and knowledge.
