Iran، US don’t have the will to announce failure of JCPOA: Expert
In case of failure of negotiations to revive the JCPOA, the possibility of a kind of coalition taking shape against Iran has increased, a researcher at the German Science and Politics Foundation has said.
Personally, I don’t see a successful landscape for the revival of the JCPOA, because both sides enter the talks with different approaches, different expectations, and different understanding of the JCPOA circumstances and even the international situation, Hamidreza Azizi told ILNA.
What creates problems and prevents progress are misunderstandings that the Iranian side suffers from and the Americans obstacles and practical and political limitations, he added.
No party, at least in the current situation, is looking to declare the death of the negotiations, and the simple reason for that is that the failure of the negotiations will create a new crisis for both sides. To put it better, they have frozen this issue, for now, he said.
Both Iran and the Arab countries are promoting several options at the same time, in the sense that while Saudi Arabia seeks to develop relations with Israel and makes them public, it also wants to have an alternative to maintain its relations with Iran in case the JCPOA is revived, he said, adding Iran is also looking for the fact that if the JCPOA is not revived, at least at the regional level, it can pursue its foreign policy with fewer tensions.
