Al-Kadhimi conditionally trying to prevent creation of Arabic- Hebrew NATO against Iran: Expert
An expert on the region has said that Saudi Arabia intends to move one step closer to Iran, but this step should be practical and Saudi Arabia must prove its good faith to Iran practically.
Hassan Hanizadeh said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that the Iraqi prime minister's visit to Iran should be viewed in the context of the region's events.
Commenting on the upcoming visit of Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to Iran, he noted that Al-Kadhimi will try to prevent the creation of Arabic- Hebrew NATO against Iran provided that Iran will help Al-Kadhimi to become Iraqi prime minister once again.
Iran and Saudi Arabia have reached some agreements and solved some of their disagreements like the issue of the Yemen war, he said, adding, “Given the ceasefire that Saudi Arabia has announced in Yemen, the perspectives of the two countries got closer to each other.”
