Regarding the relations between Tehran and Riyadh, he said: "Our assessment of the recent round of talks in Baghdad is positive and Tehran welcomes the implementation of the results of the talks between the two countries."

Referring to the recent visit of the Iraqi Minister of Interior to Tehran, he hailed the agreements reached regarding the road trip of pilgrims in the near future, including Arbaeen.

He praised the hospitality of the people and the Iraqi government to the Iranian pilgrims during Arbaeen rituals and hoped for accelerating reopening of the land borders.

He referred to diplomacy as the best way to reach a good, strong, and lasting agreement, saying in the face of bullying, Iran’s response would be based on authority.

Meanwhile, Fuad Hussein expressed satisfaction with the ongoing negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia.
