Iran slams terror attack against Egyptian army in Sinai Peninsula

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh condemned the recent terrorist attack on the Egyptian army in the Sinai Peninsula which resulted in killing and injuring a number of armed forces.
Countering the sinister phenomenon of terrorism, which has unfortunately spread in Muslim countries with the support of foreigners, requires close cooperation with the regional countries, Khatibzadeh said.
The Egyptian military was quoted as saying that the attack had killed at least 19 fighters during security operations in the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula, and also resulted in five casualties among troops.
