JCPOA revival a sure assumption for Saudi Arabia: Expert
The founder and CEO of a Germany-based think tank has said that reviving the 2015 Iran deal is a sure assumption for Saudi Arabia and this will lead to a Saudi willingness to deeply push forward the negotiations with Iran.
Adnan Tabatabai said in remarks to ILNA that “Iran is more passionate about negotiations with Saudi Arabia because Iran sees itself more powerful.“
"so Iran enters the talks with more confidence,” he added.
“As far as I know, the revival of the Iran deal is a sure assumption for Saudi Arabia and this will lead to a Saudi willingness to deeply push forward the negotiations with Iran,” he noted.
He said that “I believe that Saudi Arabia’s approach toward the Biden administration is negative,” adding that this approach caused Saudi Arabia to further tilt toward Russia and China, and need to negotiate with Iran as a regional superpower.
