"deal with Iran will only happen when Putin ends his military mission and now the world is focused on Ukraine," The Professor of International Relations said.

The Professor of International Relations in King's College London, Ned Lebow, said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that Russia is not seeking blackmail.

He said that the world is facing the problems of war. Russia is waging a war of conquest, or in Putin's eyes, reconquest, he added.

“Russia wants to evade isolation. Russia will seek to trade with whom it can to bypass Western restraints. I do not think it is in Iran's longer-term interest to trade with Russia at the moment,” he stressed.

“All parties want a deal like China which will accept and support whatever outcome emerging of negotiations. “Lebow said, “China wants to get a deal soon. It wants to keep away from conflict but gets benefits from the outcome. And for negotiations, that will only happen when Putin ends his military mission and now the world is focused on Ukraine."
