IAEA needs to adopt a neutral approach in dealing with Iran; Amirabdollahian
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said here on Saturday in a meeting with UN nuclear energy agency chief that IAEA needs to adopt a neutral, professional approach in dealing with Iran, stressing that Iran’s cooperation with the agency will be beyond regular supervisions and inspections, including supporting Iranian peaceful nuclear industries.
The Head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) who was visiting Iran for holding technical talks with the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) officials on Saturday evening had a meeting and consultation with the Amirabdollahian.
Amirabdollahian in the meeting expressed hope that the negotiations and agreements reached between Iran and the IAEA will pave the path for implementing the previous agreements more than ever before.
The foreign minister in the meeting also referred the Zionist regime of Israel’s role in sowing the seeds of discord and generating crisis, drawing the attention of the IAEA chief towards any kind of taking disadvantage of Israel from the apparatus of the agency.
The foreign minister expressed hope that the IAEA chief’s visit will further strengthen mutual trust and bilateral cooperation.
Technical and professional approach, with stronger ties and cooperation, and creative solutions
Grossi, too, emphasized that the IAEA mainly focuses on technical and professional approach, and stronger cooperation and dialogue, while finding creative solutions.
He also announced the agency’s readiness for supporting joint projects on peaceful nuclear energy usage and said that his visit of Iran is a sign of the will for holding dialogues, mutual understanding, resolving issues, and boosting cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Both sides regarded the process of IAEA-IAEO cooperation as positive and successful.
