Amirabdollahian hopes Vienna talks to lead to good agreement
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said Munich Security Conference is a good opportunity and expressed his hope that the talks underway in Vienna would result in good agreement in the near future.
Amirabdollahian said the Munich Security Conference meeting would be an opportunity to announce the Iranian administration's foreign policy and its stance on regional issues, not least the current crises in West Asia.
The Iranian foreign minister made the remarks upon arrival in Germany on Friday to attend the 58th Munich Security Conference (MSC).
Referring to the talks underway in Vienna to remove the unlawful sanctions against Iran, Amirabdollahian said that as for Iran and the active initiatives it has put on the negotiating table, "we are very close to a good agreement".
He underscored that it is the western parties who must show their true initiative and flexibility.
The eighth round of talks on the removal of all anti-Iran sanctions started on December 27 in Vienna.
