Iran, Russia long-term cooperation agreement to sign so soon

Kazem Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Russia told "Roadmap for Iran-Russia cooperation in the context of an agreement will soon be signed by the presidents of the two countries and then must be approved by the Iranian parliament."
Referring to the new dimensions of the long-term cooperation agreement between Iran and Russia, Jalali added "Since 2001, a 20-year cooperation document has been approved by the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and signed by the two governments. During the period, cooperation between the two countries was based on the document.
Referring to the mechanism for extending the document, which happened once a year, the ambassador said: "We will have the document on the agenda until 2026, but we also need to update it."
Jalali added "The draft document is to be prepared by the Islamic Republic and submitted to the Russian side to exercise its views, and if a joint commission is needed, this will establish by both countries, and the document will be finally agreed by both countries."
