Iran's FM leaves NY at end of diplomatic consultations
Iran’s Foreign Minister left New York on Saturday after his five-day intensive diplomatic consultations and hard work on the sidelines of the 76th Conference of the UN General Assembly, evening New York time, for Tehran.
During his five-day visit with his accompanying delegation, he met and conferred with some fifty political and international personalities on bilateral, regional, and international issues.
Amirabdollahian also met with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell, the Chairman of the UN General Assembly Abdulla Shahid, and many other International officials.
The new Iranian foreign minister, meanwhile, met with many of his counterparts around the globe in this visit, exchanging viewpoints on issues of mutual interest, regional developments, such as Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and international affairs.
The top Iranian diplomat also had meetings with some of the US media correspondents and editors, heads of think tanks, and university professors while elaborating on the new Iranian government’s political and diplomatic approach, and listening to their viewpoints.
