EU: JCPOA members agree on immediate resumption of talks

EU coordinator at the Vienna talks on Iran's nuclear agreement 2015 said that the remaining participants of the deal - known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)- and the US agree on the need to speed up the talks from the point that ended in the sixth round.

Enrique Mora, who is in New York to attend the UN General Assembly, posted a message on his Twitter account on Thursday stating that "returning to full implementation of the UN General Assembly remains a priority."

He added that the new Iranian government has expressed its desire to return to the Vienna talks. Contacts with the rest of the JCPOA participants, and with the US show they agree on the need to resume asap talks at the point they were at the end of the sixth round.

The sixth round of talks on the revival of the JCPOA ended last June in Vienna. The European Union insists that the dialogue resume as soon as possible.
