President Raisi to address 76th UNGA session online: Envoy
Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative in the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi said that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will address the United Nations General Assembly on September 21.
Takht Ravanchi said on Thursday evening that the UNGA 76 will open on Tuesday, 21 September 2021.
President Raisi is to address the session on the first day of the summit online; the Iranian delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, Takht Ravanchi said.
He added that on the sidelines of the 76th UNGA session, meetings will be held in the fields of energy, food, racial discrimination, and elimination of weapons of mass destruction, in which the Iranian delegation will attend.
Iranian foreign minister will also hold meeting with his counterparts on the sidelines of the UNGA 76, as well as UN Secretary General António Guterres and the president of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative in the United Nations added.
