Mohsen Rezaei was appointed as vice-president for economic affairs

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi through a decree on Wednesday appointed Mohsen Rezaei Mirqaed as Vice-President for Economic Affairs.
According to the appointment,Rezaei will also act as the secretary of supreme economic coordination council and secretary of government's economic headquarters.
Rezaei, 67 is a PhD-holder in economics from University of Tehran.
He was the commander of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for 16 years.
Rezaei, one of candidates for Iran's June 2021 presidential election, has been secretary of Expediency Council over two decades.
