Raisi to Omani Sultan: Dialogue with neighbors, at top of agenda for my government
Iran's President-elect Ebrahim Raisi termed expansion of Iran-Oman relations as an achievable goal thanks to the mutual political trust exists between the two countries and stressed that dialogue with neighbors will be a priority for his government.
In a telephone conversation with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said on Saturday, he said no regional and international developments could ever undermine friendly relations between the two nations.
Describing Tehran-Muscat ties as ever expanding, he further believed the present state of interactions between the two countries is far from the expected level.
Raisi described Iran as a reliable neighbor and valuable partner for Oman and said interaction, dialogue, consultation and sympathy with neighbors are important issues in the region will also be the priority for his country.
Haitham bin Tariq wished success for Ayatollah Raisi as Iran's next President and said mutual political trust is one of the most important factors in the proximity of Tehran and Muscat and closer relations between the two countries.
