27 vote centers stationed in US for Iranians to vote
Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi said on Tuesday that 27 vote centers have been stationed in the United States for Iranians to cast their votes in the June 18 presidential election.
Iranians in the United States can cast their votes in 27 voting polls situated in 18 states as well as in Washington DC, Takht Ravanchi said.
He added that the polls would open at 8:00 a.m. and receive votes until 6:00 p.m. on June 18 in the 13th presidential election to elect the next Iranian president who would be in office for four years.
Takht Ravanchi pointed to the Canadian government’s denial of the chance for Iranians in Canada to vote by refusing to let Iran’s Foreign Ministry to have any voting poll in the country.
Instead, he underlined, a vote center has been opened in Buffalo, New York, near the Canadian border in order for Iranians in Canada to be able to cast their ballots.
Iran’s 13th presidential election will be held on Friday, June 18.
