Mohammad Javad Zarif attended a virtual emergency meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the crimes of the Israeli regime and the latest developments in Palestine.
Earlier, in a telephone conversation with the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Beirut, the Foreign Minister reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran's continued support for the Palestinian people and resistance.
The foreign minister, who started his European tour with a visit to Spain on Thursday, met with Spanish officials in Madrid. Zarif arrived in Rome today to meet with Italian and Vatican officials.
